Our home is in the quiet upper west end of the town of Crested Butte, CO, "the last great Colorado ski town". A former coal mining town, Crested Butte is now a destination resort that caters to skiers, bikers and others who appreciate the great outdoors and all the Rocky Mountains have to offer. Separated from "downtown" by Coal Creek, our house is in a quiet neighborhood that is walking distance (2 minutes) to the restaurants and shops along Elk Avenue in the historic town centre. In addition to the downhill skiing at Crested Butte Mountain Resort, Crested Butte offers world class mountain biking and hiking on the trails near town, and nearby opportunities for horseback riding, kayaking, rafting, fishing, rock climbing and golf. Our home is perfect for a family with 1-2 children or a party of 2-4 adults.

We do not routinely keep a car at our home, but could potentially arrange to make our Volvo S80 available.

We are interested in exhanges during the Crested Butte ski season (December through March) but are willing to consider any proposals. Our main limitation is our daughters' school schedule.

We are a professional couple (Jane and Joe) with 2 school-age daughters (12 and 16) who have lived in Colorado for 10 years. We enjoy mountain biking, trail running, hiking, and climbing and are usually able, with gentle coercion and occasional bribery, to convince our daughters to join us on our outdoor exploits. We are mainly interested in exchanges with others in the western USA and have a particular interest in the San Francisco Bay Area. However, we are adventurous and always willing to consider visiting new places. Our main limitation currently is our daughters' school schedule.
