Our home is a very comfortable, easy care apartment overlooking the Pacific Ocean. 2 to 5 minutes stroll will take you to the beach or to the village where you will find all amenities. On the entry level of our home there is a double garage and two bedrooms with a shared bathroom. A short flight of stairs takes you to the main living area: an open plan with modern kitchen, dining area and lounge with TV/DVD and piano. Also on this level is the main bedroom with ensuite bathroom which includes a spa bath. Across the hall from the main bed room is a study/library with computer, broadband connection, wifi and VOIP phone. There are fans in every room as well as ducted, reverse cycle air- conditioning. There is a small organic vegetable and herb garden at the back and many trees and shrubs surrounding us which encourage birds.
You need move no further than our balcony for a delightful start to the day. As you eat breakfast, you can check out the waves and watch the surf board riders and perhaps a whale go past. Or you could wander down to the village and select from the many cafés to have your morning coffee before a swim or a walk on the beach.

If you want a relaxing holiday in a quiet and friendly village with easy drives to busier centres or to quieter rural hamlets, this is the place for you. There are opportunities for swimming, surfing and kite surfing in the ocean or the freshwater lake, fishing and diving, hang gliding, golf and tennis, boating and canoeing, walking, horse riding and shopping which includes regular local markets. The area also offers cultural activities such as art galleries, music and theatre. Lennox Head has maintained its unspoilt natural beauty while still providing all necessary shopping, commercial and medical amenities without the need to use a car. The nearest regional airport is at Ballina, 20 minutes drive south along the spectacular Coast Road. From here, there are regular connections to Sydney, 1hour flight away. To the north, you can drive 15 minutes to reach Byron Bay, Australia’s most easterly point. Here you will find beautiful beaches and eclectic shopping and dining experiences. A further 45 minutes drive north will get you to Coolangatta and Surfer’s Paradise which are hugely popular with tourists. Short drives inland will allow you to appreciate our wonderful countryside.
The nearest International Airport is Brisbane, 2 hours drive north.

New York is our main focus at the moment. We would be interested in renting a property if exchange is not suitable or possible for May 29 to June 11, 2013.

Open to any dates

We are open to any suggestion but need to make London a base for our travel. We are currently planning to travel to the UK in 2013- between June and July. As our family live in Hanwell and Hampstead, we are particularly keen to find something near to either of these centres as a long term base (up to a month) but would consider shorter arrangements and opportunities to visit other parts of the UK and Europe.
We are now looking for an exchange in New York City for the first 2 weeks in June 2013 after which we plan to travel to London.

We are a semi- retired couple in our 60’s who have moved to Lennox Head from Sydney for the relaxed lifestyle in our retirement. We love the beach and the opportunity to walk and swim each day. Graham is a company director and Margaret is a secondary school teacher.
We have travelled extensively and love to explore new areas and cultures. Now that two of our children are living and working in London, we need to have regular holidays which include the UK.
