Lovely, tastefully-furnished, and spacious 3 BR, 2 BA apt on Riverside Drive's Gold Coast. The apartment was fully renovated in 2007, with a new gourmet kitchen, french doors, hardwood floors, and (very rare in NYC!) a washer-dryer. This is the perfect apt for a family visiting New York; we are near the #1 subway and the M5 bus, across from amazing Riverside Park, and located on the UWS within easy access of all of the neighborhood's family-friendly entertainments. The master suite has a queen size bed and its own bath; the second bedroom has a bunk bed; the third bedroom has an
excellent quality pull-out couch that folds flat into a full-sized bed (that's our family room, so it also has the 46" tv).

Our Neighborhood
The Upper West Side is the center of the universe! Well, maybe not, but we love it. Lots of fun restaurants, convenient to museums and to Broadway shows, plus New York's best park for jogging and bike-riding (not to mention people-watching), arty movie theaters, and much more. We always leave our guests a long list of our favorite neighborhood restaurants.

Our Dates
We are usually away during the children's March school vacation (usually the last two weeks in March) and during the winter holidays (over Christmas/New Year's). We can either do a simultaneous swap or trade time in December/January at our apt (when people usually want to visit NYC) for time in March or the summer at your home or apartment. We are also frequently away in the summer months.
Our Destinations
We love to ski, but we are open to serendipity... could be fun to teach the boys to snorkel, to check out some ruins, or...

About Us
We are professors at Columbia University - both of us (Jennifer and John) work in public health. We have two sons, ages 9 and 13, as well as two cats (but not to worry, we will not leave you the cats to take care of!). We love to travel and have had four very successful swaps to date (Paris, Utah, Quebec, Colorado), and are hoping to find a swap for a spring 2012 ski vacation.
The swap does not necessarily need to be simultaneous; while the Riverside Drive apt is our primary residence, we are usually away for two weeks at Christmas (when everyone else loves to come to NYC!) and away all summer.
As noted above, apt is also available for sublet during the summer of 2013 - we will be away most of July and August.
