Very spacious apartment (136 m2 / 1.500 sq. feet) in 18th century building.
Huge living room with a little "office" in one corner and a 46 inch flat screen, surround sound and Cambridge hi-fi system for the music lovers. Huge kitchen with big dining table in polished concrete that sits 6-8. Bedroom 1 has a Japanese double bed, TV and plenty of room for clothes. Bedroom 2 doubles as a second living room and has a single sofa/bed, optional extra child bed and a flat screen. Smallish bathroom with bath tub. Hallway.
All mod cons: Central Heating/washer/dishwasher/microwave/fridge/freezer/espresso/Blu-Ray/DVD/hispeed WiFi/cable TV with 45 channels including English/French/German. Nice and modern furniture throughout the flat, we think.
Shared court yard with tables and chairs for the summer. Barbecuing is allowed. Two bicycles at your disposal and a Christiania bike - great for transporting anything from the kids and groceries to the picnic basket or simply yourself and your partner.
Apartment is on the first floor but is almost as high up as a normal second floor as there is a raised basement floor below the ground floor. |

It really doesn't get more central than this in Copenhagen. The flat is in the very heart of the Old Town (Middelalderbyen) and the pedestrianized area is literally on your doorstep.
Step outside and you've got cafes, shops, cinemas, theatres and restaurants all around you. Famous shopping street "Stroget" is literally around the corner, and Tivoli, The Parliament, The National Museum, Round Tower etc. etc. is within a couple of minutes of walking. Nearest canal is 1 minute away.
Apartment is on a narrow street that can get a little noisy on weekend nights, but main bedroom is facing the court yard and it's really not a big problem. We've been living here for years... |

| The People |
We are an anglo-danish family:
Mary (35) is originally from London but has been living in Copenhagen for six years working as a shop manager for Karen Millen and Whistles. At the moment she is on a prolonged maternity leave as we had a little daughter in the spring of 2009.
Anders (39) is the publisher of a monthly magazine on Copenhagen's architecture, design and urban culture. He is also working on a novel, and this is the main reason we are interested in long term exchanges.
Anders likes to write in unfamiliar surroundings, and we all like to see new parts of the world. We've seen a bit of it already. We met years ago in Kathmandu whilst traveling, and we've seen a lot of Asia and Europe and a bit of North and South America. Anders lived in Italy for a while (Bologna and Venice).
We are non-smokers and will take very good care of your home just as we trust you will take good care of ours.
