Our Home
We have an absolutely awesome view of the Continental Divide and the Valley from our 600 square foot deck. The home is located on seven acres and in an aspen grove. The home is close to the Pike National Forest. A short drive brings you to the trail. Enjoy the peace and natural beauty.
Our custom-designed, 3200 square foot log cabin is truly a unique get-away. Only a few years old, the home is immaculate and beautifully appointed with aspen log furniture. There is a Queen bedroom with a log bed, dresser and end table with awesome views. A second bedroom has bunk beds with a full size bottom and twin top. There are three floors for privacy.
Our cabin has a two story living room on the second floor with a beautiful log and cedar ceiling. The rich australian cypress flooring and western decor create a peaceful setting from which to enjoy the magnificant views.
Our Neighborhood
You can Hike or snow-shoe into the Pike National Forest, after a short drive, for Wildlife Viewing or Hunting, There is Forest access for Cross Country Skiing or Snowmobiling or biking. There is an onsite Stocked Pond or Reservoir Fishing/River Fly Fishing which is minutes away. River Rafting is 45 minutes away in Buena Vista. Horseback riding is a few miles away. Fairplay is home of the Park City 1880's Out-Door Museum, has several restaurants and shops. We are 35 minutes to Breckenridge, and 90 minutes to Vail for Downhill Skiing, more shops and restaurants. This is a year-round wonderland of ADVENTURE!

About Us
Kathy and I (Harlan) have been married for thirty one years. We have three adult children. I have been a physician for thirty years, most of my career in the emergency department. I am recently retired and am looking for a chance to travel. We are excited about the opportunity to share our vacation home and potentially exchange with like minded persons. We love Colorado and the mountains. My wife said views were the most important. Our views are exceptional. Our cabin is centrally located in Colorado for winter or summer activities yet private enough to feel like we are really away from it all. Fairplay is a quaint mountain town and offers all the basics without the traffic.
