  • House on dusk
  • Afternoon Sunset from our front deck
  • Two new babies. Darcie and VW!
  • The rear of the house with huge deck upstairs and tiled BBQ area downstairs.
  • Back Deck. Easterly direction facing the beach: Beautiful North Coast weather in the middle of Winter!
  • Coffs Harbour Marina: Coffs Harbour Marina.
  • Back beach Sandy.: The ABSOLUTE brilliant thing about our location is the choice of TWO beaches and both are 150 metres and 400 metres away. If the wind is blowing from a southerly direction you go to the main beach or if it's from the north you head to the back beach
  • Sandy Beach: I took this shot early January 2012
  • Sandy Beach wave: I'm not real handy with my water housing, however this is one of my favourite images I have captured at home. Despite how it may seem this was only about a 2 foot wave!
  • Nice Right hander off Sandy Point: Nice small peeling wave for the novice surfer
  • Sandy Beach: 150 metres from your bedroom
  • Sunrise at Sandy Beach: I took this image last winter. It is great to just run out the door when you see it's going to be an awesome sunrise and be at the beach with camera in less than one minute!
  • Sandy Beach: Sunrise at the beach 150 metres from our house!
  • Sarah swimming in September 2011: This is Sandy Beach from the water. From where Sarah is standing is about 150 metres to our house!
  • Sandy Beach Sunrise: Sunrise at the beach 150 metres from our house!
Shots taken by me...Simon!
  • Sandy Beach from the water

Our Home

Recently renovated in 2009, open plan two story, four bedroom (plus one study), two bathroom beach house with the emphasis on outdoor living. Views of the Ocean to the east and the mountains to the west, with two huge outdoor decks to enjoy the views and the breeze.

In our climate, outdoor living in a major thing. In our renovation we have concentrated on that and have thus opened up upstairs and made it an open plan lounge/kitchen/dining which open up with sliding stacker doors onto the front and back decks. These decks face east and west, and give you the HUGE benefit of picking and choosing according to the weather. In summer the prevailing sea breeze (nor-east) comes straight off the ocean and sends a beautiful breeze throughout our house and the east facing deck. This breeze also flows straight through the main bedroom which opens onto the deck. In cooler months or in the mornings you can utilise the front deck which has views over the mountains which are only a few kilometres from our house.

Up stairs we have a brand new kitchen which is fully equipped with dishwasher, 6 gas burner chef style 900mm stove & oven and brand new Bosch fridge. Also upstairs are is a small lounge area with flat-screen TV, three bedrooms, two with queen beds and one is a babies room (with cot and change table). The main bedroom has a flat-screen TV. There is also a full bathroom (shower & bath) with separate toilet. We are well equipped with baby items and toys and welcome families with children to our home.

Downstairs there is a large open plan lounge room with home theatre & bar. There is a bedroom with a queen bed and a large bathroom/laundry, with washing machine and dryer. The loungeroom and bathroom both have direct access to the fully enclosed backyard and large undercover paved BBQ/patio area. There is also an office which contains a double futon bed, which we could make available if requested. Use of high-speed wifi available.

We have surfboards, fishing rods and mountain bikes available for your use. Auto exchange is preferable, as we have a 5 seater VW Amarok (4WD) Dual Cab utility that can be available for you during your stay at our home.

Our Neighborhood

Excellent quiet and sociable village neighbourhood with free BBQ areas, parks, children's playgrounds and local general store all within very easy walking distance. Walk to several white sandy beaches. Many of the neighbours are recreational surfers who walk to the beach for a few waves on most days. We are great friends with the neighbours either side, who will be more than happy to welcome you to the area and share a beer/wine with you on a Sunday afternoon!

We are located three kilometres from mountain ranges with excellent hiking tracks. The "Coffs Coast" is the closest place on the east coast of Australia where the mountains actually meet the sea.

5 minutes drive (or 30 minute walk along the beach) to the town of Woolgoolga, with shops, restaurants, a gym, pub and more beaches. Twenty minutes drive to Coffs Harbour, a town of 70,000 people, with loads of pubs, clubs, restaurants, gyms, sports activities and more beaches.

The Coffs Coasts boasts excellent fishing, boating, hiking, mountain biking, four wheel driving and camping. World renowned Bonville International Golf Club only thirty minutes drive and World Heritage Rain Forests of Dorrigo less than one hour away.

The area is a sub-tropical climate, with water temperatures averaging 24 degree C (75 degrees F.). It is the southern most point of the Great Barrier Reef and offers excellent scuba diving/snorkelling through the Solitary Islands Marine Park.
