The house is located on a residential street on a hill just above town. Neighbors are close by and very friendly, but the house also provides excellent privacy and quiet.

Separately, we're also looking for shorter exchanges (i.e. weekends or long weekends) closer to home:
(a) tahoe or yosemite for the rest of this winter/early spring for skiing, or during this summer;
(b) CA on/near a beach or lake late summer or fall.

Married couple, Jack and Maureen, with 2 daughters, 5 and 3. We moved to San Francisco 18 years ago and fell in love with the area; we moved out of the city to Mill Valley 4 years ago because we love the outdoors and Mill Valley offers the ideal combination of close proximity to San Francisco and access to the natural beauty of the area. Jack is in commercial real estate finance, and Maureen is a restaurant consultant; the girls attend school.

Our dog Kenya is a well behaved, non-shedding ridgeback mix (very small for her breed, about 50 pounds). She is extremely sedate during the day but likes to be walked daily; we generally bring her along for a 20 minute hike on Mt. Tam (trailhead is a few minutes walk from our house) each morning. We can have friends watch Kenya when we trade or you can enjoy a great pet.
