Our Home
Our home is a 225-acre slice of Pacific rain forrest brimming with wildlife. most mornings we are awoken by the grousing of howler monkeys in the trees above our house. We have an open rancho that serves as the central gathering area around which are located four rooms and two houses. We have a large kitchen with a walk-in fridge and a massive barbeque grill. We have a large secluded swimming pool from which you can while away the afternoon and watch the toucans playing overhead. We have 6 horses which we can include, along with a Honda ATV, and possibly our Toyota Landcruiser if the dates work out right. 2 full-time maids and a gardener are on staff.
Our Neighborhood
People think of Mal Pais as the "St. Tropez of Costa Rica" with many celebrities and wealthy people having first and second homes. Extending into the Pacific Ocean, the Nicoya Peninsula is stunningly beautiful and teeming with wildlife. Mal Pais is most famous for its world class beaches and surf. The town still has that small surf town feel, but it has all the amenities of a larger town. The restaurants are some of the best in the country as the area has been settled mostly by Europeans, many of whom have chosen to open restaurants with their homeland's cuisine. The magnificent waves tumble onto white sand beaches which extend to line of palm trees and then the beach road before climbing into the backdrop of a lush, mountainous jungle. Fishing is world class and other activities include horseback riding, hiking, ATV tours, canopy tours, waterfalls, and birding.

About Us
We are Andrew, Lisa, our 5 year old, Alexis, and our 1 year old, A.J., Americans living in Costa Rica now as a lifestyle choice. We love travel and adventure, although with a newborn we are staying closer to big cities on our trips. Andrew was formerly in law and finance and is now on a quasi-sabbatical helping raise little ones. Lisa is a former fashion model and now a full-time mom. We are animal lovers and spend lots of time on community issues in Costa Rica, especially regarding animal welfare. We have been in the hospitality business for years and understand both how to extend hospitality as well as to care for someone's home.
