Our Home
Extensively remodeled house. 3 bedrooms with a dream kitchen, lovely front yard with a huge magnolia tree, on a quiet cul-de-sac.
THe house is fully furnished. The kitchen has top of the line appliances. One bedroom is used as a study, and has a computer available for use with a 24" monitor. We have a vegetable garden, so you are likely to have fresh produce available at your doorstep.
The house is close to everything you'd want. Walk to a yoga studio and coffee shop. It is walking distance to the fashionable shops and restaurants in downtown Palo Alto, accessible through quiet neighborhood streets. Nearby attractions include - 5 minute drive to Stanford University. 30 minutes by rail or car to San Francisco. Lots of great museums - The computer history museum is 10 minutes away, San Francisco Museum of Modern art and other great museums are 30 minutes away.
There are plenty of golf courses nearby, and Shoreline park ( http://www.abag.org/bayarea/baytrail/vtour/map3/access/Btmtnvw/Btmtvw2.htm )and Amphitheatre is a 10 minute drive. 20 minutes eastwards will take you to skyline drive and some gorgeous, challenging hikes.
The Pacific Ocean is 45 minutes drive west.
Our Neighborhood
Menlo Park (http://www.menlopark.org) is the birthplace of the computer revolution, in the heart of Silicon Valley and is close to everything you'd want. We live in a very friendly neighborhood. It is an old neighborhood, so there are lots of old trees nearby. There is a creek that runs very close to the house.
This is a very bicycle friendly neighborhood, and is know for its environmental credentials. The cul-de-sac allows kids to play outside with no worries. The back yard is quiet and perfect for a barbeque.
