| Geneva routinely ranks with Zurich as having the world's highest quality of life. A safe, small and yet global city, Geneva is centrally located with easy access to the best of Europe. Easyjet, a low-cost airline, connects Geneva with much of the rest of Europe. We are 3 1/2 hours from Paris by train and 5 by car. It is the same distance to Venice. Rome is best reached by overnight train in a sleeper car, or by a quick flight. London is an hour flight. The rest of Switzerland is, of course, readily accessible and wonderful. Not to be forgotten is the annual Montreux Jazz Festival, one of the major events in the music world takes place about an hour away. Renting a sail boat at Lake Geneva is a possibility just fifteen minutes away, as is flying sailplanes in an area nearby, not to mention mountain hiking and horseback riding within five minutes drive.
