We are looking to travel to (Open to any destination):
| We would like to find an exchange near a ski resort. This could be anywhere really but we try to stick to the UK school holidays: Christmas, a week in mid-February, Easter. If we could find somewhere in the US over Christmas '09 then we would combine it with a visit to our family in Philadelphia.
Also, we are trying to organize a family reunion and would love to spend a week or two in August 2010 on the US East Coast, near the beach, or somewhere in Europe, like Italy. We would be looking for a larger property, or somewhere where we could rent nearby as we will be 16 in total. Our family have houses in Philadelphia and North Carolina so we could explore other exchanges in addition to our house in Cambridge, England. |

| Looking to exchange with a family on Vancouver Island ideally somewhere around Victoria or Nanaimo, but very open to other places on the Island too!
If the exchange of a car is also possible then wonderful. We have a VW Caravelle, and could also include a Toyota smaller car too if that helped.
We are also hoping to do a one or two week exchange with a family who live either in Buxton (Derbyshire), or within a 45 min radius - Derby, Manchester, Ashbourne, Leek, or anywhere else! This would be for (ideally) 1 or possibly two weeks in the school summer holidays of 2010. |

| We have listed to look at near-European houseswaps, rather than inter-continental ones. Generally prefer northern climes, where there are mountains or hills and probably coastline and wilderness within reach.
In particular, would like to go back to Iceland with family after three visits either to capital or somewhere very quiet or both!
For the winter, we'd be looking at downhill or nordic skiing possibilities in any of our stated destinations.
For the summer, though not mentioned, we would look at Southern European destinations near or on beaches. |

| We are open to short exchanges in Europe during school holidays, but at the moment are primarily interested in a longer exchange (2-4 weeks) during July or August on the East Coast of the US. We would consider New York City area, or anywhere else on the East Coast, but prefer a location where most activities can be reached by foot or by bicycle, and where there are some things around for the kids to do (e.g., beach, or whatever). Ideally wherever it is would be easily reachable from New York City, since we have family there.
We'd also be quite interested in an exchange with someone in a ski area in Europe (any country), during late March or early April. |
