How can I hide or otherwise make my Listing unavailable on the site?

HIDING YOUR LISTING
There are times you will want to make your Listing unavailable on the site. For example, if you are on an exchange, or have made exchange plans and don't wish to be contacted with new offers, you can "hide" your Listing temporarily and your Listing will no longer appear on the site.

Hiding your Listing does not affect any other of your Member functions, it simply removes your Listing from the site. Your email notification of new Listings, ability to contact other Members, etc will all still function even when your Listing doe now show up in search results.

To Hide your Listing:
1. You can click here to go to the login page, or simply go to our web site and click on the "Sign In" link located at the very top of each page on the site.

2.The next screen displayed will be the "Your HomeExchange.com Account" screen. Under the heading "My Listings"
you will see your Home ID number(s) and the following links:

  • Edit Listing Information
  • Manage Listing Photos
  • View Feedback
  • Renew Listing

3. Click the blue option "Edit Listing Information"

From the edit Listing page, there is an option that reads:
This listing is currently  visible hidden

Just click the circle next to HIDDEN to hide your Listing.

Don't forget to click on the bottom that reads "SAVE MY LISTING INFORMATION" located on the top and bottom of the edit listing page for any changes you have made to be permanently saved.

To make your Listing visible again, go back to the EDIT LISTING INFORMATION screen, and click the VISIBLE option, and then save the changes you have made on the edit screen.
